National Zoological Gardens - Pretoria

The National Zoo in Pretoria has been supplied with two electric golf carts fitted with solar panels on the roofs. In addition, a 3.75 kW solar PV array has been installed beside the Zoo’s restaurant. This renewable source of power reduces overall costs of electricity for the zoo and saves an estimated 8 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2e) per year.
