The Durban Botanic Gardens

The Durban Botanic Gardens utilises the energy from two 2.1 kW solar PV arrays mounted to tracking systems to run their visitors centre. Solar trackers mimic plants by following the sun throughout the day for best capture of solar radiation. Visit the Durban Botanic Gardens to see this ingenious example of biomimicry, which is an example of few solar tracking systems in Southern Africa.
